1. Shivangi Singh set to become India's 1st women fighter pilot to fly Rafale.

She is one of 10 Indian women Fighter pilots in IAF. Five Rafale Aircraft were formally inducted into the IAF's 17 Squadron "Golden Arrows" on September 10, 2020, at a function held at Air Force Station, Ambala (Haryana).

2. Bollywood Actor Amir Khan becomes the Brand Ambassador of CEAT.

A tire company of RPG Enterprises (Rama Prasad Goenka Group), CEAT Limited has signed Indian Actor Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador for 2 years. As a part of an integrated marketing campaign, he will feature in 2 commercials during the on-going Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in Dubai to promote CEAT's Secure Drive, a range of mass premium tires. CEAT has been associated with cricket since 1995 with CEAT cricket ratings.

3. Unified portal "U-Rise" govt portal has launched by Uttar Pradesh Govt.

The CM of Uttar Pradesh has launched a Unified Portal called "U-Rise". Uttar Pradesh is the first state to launch such a unified portal along with the Implementation of the National Educational Policy (NEP)-2020.

4. World Rabies Day: 28 September.

World Rabies Day is observed globally on 28th September every year. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about the impact of rabies on humans and animals, provide information and advice on how to prevent the disease, and take efforts to control rabies. The theme for the 14th WRD in 2020 is 'End Rabies: Collaborate, Vaccinate". This year's theme focuses on vaccination and collaboration.
This day also marks the death anniversary of the French chemist and microbiologist, Louis Pasteur', who developed the first rabies vaccine.

5. Union Home Minister Inaugurates "Destination North East-2020" Festival.

The festival will be held with the theme of "The Emerging Delightful Destinations" which speaks of the tourism destinations emerging stronger and more attractive when the Sector picks up momentum.
The aim of this festival is to introduce various cultures of the country to each other along with the tourist destinations of the North East and through this, the whole of India will also get familiar with the vibrant and diverse culture of the North East.

6. RBI to launch the "Positive Pay System " for the Cheque Truncation System.

The Reserve Bank of India has announced that it will launch the "Positive Pay System" for Cheque Truncation System from 01st January 2021. This system will be developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and make it available to participant banks.

7. World Tourism Day: 27 September.

World Tourism Day is observed globally on the 27th of September every year. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political, and economic values worldwide. This Date was chosen by the United Nations and World Tourism Organization as on that day in 1970, the statutes of the UNWTO were adopted.
The 2020 edition of World Tourism Day, with the theme of "Tourism and Rural Development", will celebrate the Unique role that tourism plays in providing opportunities outside of big cities and preserving cultural and natural heritage all around the world.

8. A Microprocessor named "MOUSHIK" was developed by IIT Madras.

An Indigenously-made microprocessor for the Internet of things device, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras has successfully developed "MOUSHIK".This is a processor cum a system-on-chip that can cater to the rapidly-growing IoT devices, an integral part of smart cities of a digital India.

9. World Heart Day: 29 September.

World Heart Day is observed on 29th September to draw people's attention to illness and the range of associated health issues. This day is celebrated to spread the awareness of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) including heart disease & stroke and highlights the preventive and control measures.
The theme for World Heart Day 2020: "Use Heart To Beat Cardiovascular Disease".
