1. World Refugee Day is observed on 20th June.

20th June of every year is celebrated as the World Refugee Day to raise awareness about the struggles that refugee face around the world several times. This day was recognized by the United Nations(UN).

2. Karnataka Government Observes 18th June as the "Mask Day"

Karnataka Government Observed this mask day to aware people of the use of masks, sanitizers, washing hands with soap in order to control the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

3. "Air-Venti" app launched at Mumbai.

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has launched a mobile application "Air-Venti" to provide information on ICU Beds, ventilators. Octaware Technologies Limited, in partnership with probity soft Pvt Ltd., has developed this mobile application for MCGM.

4. India has released it's first-ever National Report on the state of Climate Crisis.

India's First ever national Report on the state of the Climate Crisis has been released. The report has been prepared under the Ministry of Earth Sciences with the title "Assessment of climate change over the Indian Region".

5. Union Health Minister has launched India's 1st Mobile Lab for COVID-19.

Union Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan has launched India's First mobile lab for COVID-19 testing. The mobile lab Infectious Disease Diag Lab (I-Lab) has been developed with support from the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Andhra Pradesh Med-tech (AMTZ) under DBT-AMTZ.
The main aim of this mobile lab is to address the shortage of critical healthcare technologies in India and move progressively towards a state of self-sufficiency.

6. Volkan Bozkir becomes the new president of the 75th UN General Assembly.

Turkish diplomat Volkan Bozkir has been elected President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. He won with the unanimous support of the 178 UN members. He will replace Trijjani Muhammad-Bande, the present General Assembly president.

7. "SARAL" scheme has been launched by ICICI Home Finance Company Limited (HFC).

ICICI Home Finance Company Limited (HFC) has launched a "SARAL" scheme for a special affordable house loan for urban and rural areas. The maximum limit of the loan is 35lakh and the interest rate of the loan starts from 7.98%. The maximum tenure of the loan is 20 years.

8. Health Insurance to cover the COVI-19 pandemic launched by Karnataka Bank.

A special health Insurance policy has been launched by the Karnataka Bank in association with Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Ltd to cover the uncertainties posed by COVID-19 at a nominal premium of Rs 399, With the Validity of 120 days.
This insurance policy will cover the health expenses like in-patient hospital expenses of up to Rs 3.00 lakh, outpatient treatment expenses of Rs 3000, and will also offer a sum of  Rs 1000 per day towards expenses incurred toward 14 days of quarantine at a government or military hospital. All the customers of the Bank in the age group of 18-65 years will be able to subscribe to the policy.

9. British Petroleum is going to set up a Global Business Service Center in Pune.

British Petroleum is going to set up a Global Business Service Center in Pune, Maharastra to support its global businesses. This planned Global Business Service Center will employ around 2000 people and provide business processing as well as advanced analytics capabilities in support of the British Petroleum business worldwide.

10. Autistic Pride Day is observed globally on 18th June.

This day is observed to give respect to the rights of persons with autism, in 2005, the first autistic pride day was celebrated in Brazil by the Aspies For Freedom(AFF) created by Garth & Amy Nelson and Become a global event.
