1. On This Day- 21st JUNE is celebrated as World Yoga Day.

International Yoga Day is observed every year on 21st June Worldwide since 2015. The day came into existence in 2015 after being declared unanimously by the United National General Assembly (UNGA). 
The theme of Yoga Day 2020: 'Yoga for health, Yoga for home'.

2. Sourav Ganguly & Chhetri has become the Brand Ambassadors of JDW Cement.

Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Chhetri signed as the Brand Ambassadors of JSW Cement. This Cement brand has also launched a new multi-media marketing campaign "Leader's choice" which includes both sports icons.

3. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has launched R&D Portal "SATYABHAMA".

Union Minister for Coal, Mines, and parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi has launched R&D Portal "Science and Technology Yojana for Aatmanirbhar Bharat in Mining Advancement. This portal has been developed by National Informatics Center(NIC), Mines Informatics Division.
This portal has launched to use digital technologies in promoting research and development in the mining and mineral sector in the country. This has been integrated with the NGO Darpan Portal of NITI Aayog. 

4. Urjit Patel appointed as the Chairman of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy(NIPEP).

The appointment has been made for a period of four years. Earlier he has served as the Governor as well as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank Of India (RBI). He will be replacing the outgoing chairman Vijay Kelkar.

5. Solar Eclipse (Surya Grahan) 2020 has been seen Today.

Today's Solar Eclipse or Surya Grahan has been started at 9:15 AM IST and Visible up until 3:04 PM IST. Maximum Eclipse will take the palace at 12:10 ISTAccording to Nehru Planetarium, Bhuj was the first city in India from where the beginning of the eclipse will be visible at 9.58am.
Next Solar Eclipse will be visible on December 14, 2020, from the Pacific, South America and Antarctica, for a duration of 02 minutes, 10 seconds.

6. World Refuge Celebrated on 20th June.

World Refugee Day globally celebrated on 20th June every year. The world Refugee Day 2020 aims to remind the world that everyone, including refugees, is capable of contributing towards society and Every Action Counts in the effort to create a more just, inclusive, and equal world.

7.  Manipur has celebrated it's Great June Uprising Day.

The 19th Great June Uprising Day was observed on 18th June at kekrupat, Manipur to pay tribute and respect to 18 persons who lost their lives in June 2001 to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur.

8. IIT-Palakkad develops ultrasound for COVID-19 screening.

The IIT-Palakkad has developed an automated lunch ultrasound (LUS) for COVID-19 screening and monitoring through cloud-based image analysis and scoring system.

9. WHO reports the biggest single-day increment in coronavirus cases.

On Sunday WHO has announced the biggest single-day increment in coronavirus cases according to its observation, in excess of 1,83,000 new cases in the most recent 24 hours rement in coronavirus cases.
The UN health organization said Brazil drove the route with 54,771 cases counted and the U.S. Next at 36,617. More than 15,400 rolled in from India.

10. Hetero has been launched a drug for COVID-19 patients.

Drugmaker company  Hetero has received the drug controller-General of India (DCGI) approval to manufacture and sell its generic version of Glied's Remdesivir for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in the country.
The generic version will be marketed under the brand name 'Coviifor' in India, Hetero said about the product, that is being manufactured at its facility in Hyderabad.
