1. World Migratory Bird Day: 10 October.
This day is observed globally on 9 May or 10th October. The aim of the day is to raise awareness about the migratory birds and the importance of international cooperation to conserve them.
This year, the theme of World Migratory birds day 2020 is "Birds Connect Our World". This theme highlights the importance of conserving and restoring the ecological connectivity and integrity of ecosystems that support the natural cycles that are essential for the survival and wellbeing of Migratory Birds.
2. International Day of the Girl Child: 11 October.
This day is observed globally every year since 2012. This day is observed to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.
The theme for 2020 International Day of the Girl Child is "My voice, our equal future".
On December 19, 2011, United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declared October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognize girl's rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world.
3. World Arthritis Day: 12 October.
This day is celebrated to raise awareness about arthritis, an inflammatory condition that causes pain and stiffness in joints which can worsen with age. This day was started by Arthritis and Rheumatism International (ART) in 1996 in order to spread awareness about arthritis and encourage policymakers to help reduce the burden of arthritis.
4. Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences 2020 announced.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Science has decided to award the Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden's central Bank) Prize in Economic Science in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2020 to Paul R. Milgrom and Robert B. Wilson "for improvements to auction theory and inventions of new auction formats".

5. SVAMITVA Scheme launches by PM Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the program of physical distribution of Property Cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme through video conferencing. The Survey of Village Areas (SVAMITVA) is a Central Sector Scheme, which was launched in April 2020 to provide the "record of rights to document the residential properties" to village household owners in rural areas and issue property cards.
6. Goa has been declared as the fist "har Ghar Jal " State across the nation.
According to the provided data by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Goa has become the first state as the "Har Ghar Jal" state in the country by providing tap water connection to every rural household.

7. Delhi government has approved the tree Transplantation Policy.
Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has passed a first-of-its-kind in India "Tree Transplantation Policy" to preserve trees for clean and green Delhi. As per this policy, the trees for clean and green Delhi.
By this policy, the trees which are needs to be felled due to any circumstances, would not be cut but instead uprooted and transplanted somewhere else.

8. "Jagananna Vidya Kanuka" Scheme launches by Andhra Pradesh CM.
This scheme has launched to distribute School kits among the poor children of the state. The state shall spend around Rs 650 crore on the scheme. 42, 34, 322 kits will be distributed across the state under the scheme.

9. Chetan Anand named as the brand ambassador for Indian Brand "Transform".
Commonwealth Games medalist in Badminton, Chetan Anand has been roped in as the brand ambassador for India's first-ever homegrown professional badminton brand "Transform".
Transform Badminton is India's 1st professional badminton brand at par with the best racquets available in the market that are currently imported from abroad for playing in India.
10. Ava Murto becomes Finland's PM post for a day.
The United Nations International Day of Girl Child a 16-years old Aava Murto assumed the post of Finland's Prime Minister for one day on 7th October 2020 to raise awareness about gender equality. It was done as part of the "Girls Takeover" Program.
