1. Internation Literacy Day: 8 September.
Every Year this day is observed globally to spread awareness about the importance of literacy for individuals. communities an societies and the need for intensified efforts towards more literate societies and the need for intensified efforts towards more literate societies.
The theme of International Literacy Day 2020:
"Literacy teaching and learning in the COVID-19 crisis and beyond", especially on the role of educators and changing pedagogies. The theme highlights literacy learning in a lifelong learning perspective, and therefore, mainly focuses on youth and adults.
2. World Physical Therapy Day: 8 September.
This day is observed on 8th September every year to provide an opportunity for physical therapists from all over the world to raise awareness about the important contribution of the profession and in improving the well being and health of the people.
3. Kenichi Ayukawa becomes the new president of SIAM.
Maruti Suzuki MD and CEO, Kenichi Ayukawa has been elected as the new president fo the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) for a term of two years.
He will replace Rajan Wadhera. Ashok Leyland MD & CEO, Vipin Sondhi has been elected as the new vice president of SIAM.
4. DRDO successfully test Scramjet Technology for hypersonic missiles.
Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully flight-tested a Hypertonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV), which is an unmanned scramjet vehicle with the ability to travel at six times the speed of sound. The test was conducted from Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Launch Complex at Wheeler Island, off the coast of Odisha. Now, India has joined the elite club of the United States, Russia, and China to developed and successfully test Hypersonic Technology.

5. Vodafone and Idea united and rebrand itself as 'Vi'.
The telecom company Vodafone has announced its new unified brand identity by renaming all its products under a new name and logo ' Vi '. The announcement of rebranding has been done through a virtual platform. This integration into one brand is to be the company's efforts to reduce the cost of maintaining two brands.
6. Vinkesh Gulati appointed as the new President of FADA.
He is appointed as its 35th President for the year of 2020-22. He succeeds Ashish Harsharaj kale as the new FADA President.

7. The government of India launches the mental health prohibition helpline "KIRAN".
Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry have launched a toll-free mental health rehabilitation helpline "KIRAN" to reduce mental illness, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The helpline- 1800-500-0019 will provide relief and support to persons with mental illness,
This helpline will resolve mental illness issues that are related to the following namely, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, Panic Attack adjustment disorder, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorders, and psychological issues & mental health emergencies induced by the pandemic.

8. J&K Lg launches the "SPARROW" system for J&K Administrative Service Officers.
This online portal has launched by the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha to bringing transparency, avoiding loss of Appraisal Reports (APR) during the transition, ensuring better monitoring and timely completion of performance appraisal of JAKAS officers.
9. Saudi Arabia Chairs G20 Education Minister Meeting.
The Education Ministers Meeting will take place as part of the Sherpa Track for the G20 Leaders Summit 2020, to be hosted by Saudi Arabia at the end of 2020. The Saudi Arabian Presidency has selected the following theme for the G20's 2020 activities: Realizing opportunities of the 21st Century for all.
10. IIT Delhi launches "Chakr DeCoV" to decontaminate N95 masks.
The IIT Delhi startup Chakr Innovation has launched a special decontamination device called "Chakr DeCoV", to decontaminate N95 masks. The Chakr DeCoV device is designed in the shape of the cabinet.
It is built with an innovative decontamination mechanism, which utilizes the High penetrability of Ozone gas for cleaning the pores of the N95 mask, ensuring complete decontamination of its intricate layers.
